Welcome to eSole. This is our first blog, of what we hope will be weekly updates. The goal of the blogs is to grow a community around eSole where we can have an open conversation about eSole. LIFE SCIENCE HUB & TECH SPARK MEET UP
Another week and more news from eSole.
Last week we attended 2 events - one in the Life Science Hub in Cardiff and a Tech-spark meet up in Bath.
The first event was very interesting and we had the chance to meet with a range of individuals from organisations such as the London Business Angels, Syndicate Room, Welsh government and Venture Capital. We gained information about a range of funding options from both the public and private sector.
APRIL UPDATES
eSole is currently is entering a number of competitions to help raise funds for our project. Recently we entered a competition hosted by the Nominate Trust, it will allow us to raise £15K-£50K. We see it is a great opportunity for us, to raise the funds we need. As part of the competition we created a video (linked below)..
The money we raise from the competition, if we are successful, will help us finalize the initial design phase and allow us to create a working prototype. The competition closed on the 14th of April, with successful companies being selected within 2 weeks. We have been informed by staff at the trust, that they take the best 8 entries from over 250 (normal entry volume) to go through to round two.
BOOST COMPETITION
eSole recently entered Boost walesWales, a competition for companies specifically in the Life Science Sector. Boost offers a £50,000 prize pool made up of a cash prize and services. Boost offers a great chance for eSole to gain exposure in the Life Science Sector and raise much needed funds to help progress the company forwards.
For phase one we had to create a video entry for the project (link below) to display what benefit eSole would bring to Wales. The following phases require eSole to meet a number of requirements through presenting our business plan and answering a range of questions and submitting documents.
